The Rob Burrow Centre in Leeds is a specialist healthcare facility dedicated to supporting people living with motor neurone disease (MND), providing a purpose-built environment for patients, their families and carers. The facility has been designed with a strong focus on accessibility, comfort and wellbeing, creating an environment that supports both specialist care and the wider needs of those using the centre.

Delta Construction Consultants Ltd provided Registered Building Inspector services for the project, supporting the construction works as the facility progressed towards completion. Our role involved providing Building Control oversight throughout the development and helping to ensure that the works were carried out in accordance with the relevant Building Regulations and approved proposals.

As the main construction works near completion, attention has also turned to the surrounding external areas. Garden works are now underway, creating carefully considered therapeutic outdoor spaces for patients, families and staff to use. The landscaping incorporates accessible pathways, reflective areas and spaces designed to encourage relaxation and connection with the outdoors.

The gardens also feature meaningful elements including the Hands of Hope and Tree of Hope, reflecting the importance of community involvement and the wider purpose of the centre. Together, the building and its surrounding spaces have been designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment that contributes to patient wellbeing, rehabilitation and the experience of families and staff.
