A former carpet showroom in Workington, Cumbria, has been transformed into a modern ambulance maintenance and fleet support facility for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The redevelopment provides a purpose-built environment to support the maintenance, servicing and operational readiness of ambulance vehicles, helping to support the wider requirements of frontline emergency services.

The completed facility includes dedicated MOT testing bays, specialist electric vehicle service areas, staff welfare facilities, offices and fully equipped training spaces. The development has been designed to provide a practical and efficient working environment, supporting both day-to-day fleet operations and the ongoing training and development of staff.

Delta Construction Consultants Ltd provided Building Control services for the project, working closely with Ascot Services UK Ltd and the wider design and construction team throughout the development. Our role involved providing Building Regulations oversight and supporting the project team in ensuring that the works complied with the relevant regulatory requirements.
