Delta Building Control provided Building Control services for the recently completed refurbishment of an existing office building in Hessle, Hull, East Yorkshire, on behalf of Boluda Towage.

The project involved the refurbishment and modernisation of the existing office environment, creating a high-quality and contemporary workplace designed to support the needs of Boluda Towage and its staff. The scheme required careful consideration of the existing building while incorporating the improvements and alterations necessary to create a functional and modern office environment.

The project was designed by J B Langley, with works undertaken by D3 Office Group Ltd and Heatons Group. J B Langley also provided the Building Regulations Principal Designer and CDM Principal Designer roles, supporting the project team from the pre-construction stage through to completion.

Delta Building Control worked alongside the client, design team and contractors to provide Building Control oversight throughout the refurbishment. Our role involved supporting the project team with the relevant Building Regulations requirements and providing professional advice as the works progressed, helping to ensure that the completed refurbishment met the required standards.

As with any refurbishment project, careful consideration was required when working within the constraints of an existing building. The project required effective coordination between the various members of the professional team to ensure that the proposed alterations could be successfully delivered while maintaining compliance with the Building Regulations.

The project was successfully completed and signed off, providing Boluda Towage with a modernised office environment suited to its ongoing operational requirements.
